COMMERCIAL CCTV
Business CCTV designed around your site, keeping watch over your premises, staff and stock.
PROTECT YOUR BUSINESS
Spy Alarms designs and installs commercial CCTV systems for businesses across London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex. That might be a single camera on a small retail unit or a full system covering a larger site. We can install something new, take over the maintenance of a system you already have, or add 24/7 monitoring. Every recommendation follows a site survey rather than a standard package.
The commercial CCTV systems we install give you three things:

MAKE A QUICK ENQUIRY

From first enquiry to handover, this is how the process runs.

HD cameras make it easier to identify faces, vehicles and number plates. They make most difference at entrances, tills and anywhere you might need to identify someone later.

Night vision and thermal cameras cover areas that still need watching after dark, such as car parks, loading bays and yards.

With a compatible system you can view live footage on your phone or tablet. You can also have your cameras watched by trained operators through our CCTV monitoring service.
ADVANCED ANALYTICS
Alongside recording, we can add video analytics to your commercial CCTV system. Rather than only capturing footage for later, the system can flag specific events as they happen, such as someone entering a restricted area or a vehicle arriving out of hours, and send an alert straight away.
Which of these is worth having depends on your site and what you're trying to solve, so we'll talk it through at the site survey rather than adding analytics as standard.

CLOUD CCTV
With cloud based CCTV, footage is stored off site rather than only on a recorder in the building, so it isn't lost if that recorder is damaged or taken. The technology has matured and it now suits a lot of business sites.
We can help you find the best system to help you watch over what matters most

MAKE A QUICK ENQUIRYCCTV SURVEILLANCE
In the Home Office's 2023 Commercial Victimisation Survey, 8% of business premises in England and Wales had experienced a burglary, including attempts, in the previous 12 months. CCTV won't remove that risk, but a camera system gives you a deterrent, a view of what's happening on site, and recorded footage to fall back on.
We design each system around a site survey, so you're not paying for cameras or features your premises don't need.
From a single camera to full coverage inside and out, we install certified systems sized to your premises. Footage is usually stored on an on-site recorder, with edge storage and cloud-based options available if you'd rather not rely on one physical device, and we'll talk through how long you need to keep it. It works the same way for an office, a retail unit, a warehouse or several sites at once.
With our Smart app you have control of your whole integrated security system from one place. Once it's installed you can:
We install and maintain commercial CCTV systems for businesses across London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex, and we also cover Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire and Berkshire. Our engineers work out of Orpington in Kent. You can see the full list on our areas covered page.

If your cameras capture images of identifiable people, your business is generally covered by UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Information Commissioner's Office publishes guidance on using CCTV responsibly, including proportionate use, signage and how long footage is kept. We can design your system so it doesn't capture more than you need, but your business stays responsible for its own policies and signage. This is general information rather than legal advice.

Yes. We can connect your commercial CCTV system to our alarm receiving centre for round-the-clock monitoring. Operators view live images, issue audio warnings where the system supports it, alert your nominated keyholders and can call the police or fire service, so there's a response even when the premises are empty. There's more detail on our CCTV monitoring page.
There's no single rule that fits every system, but regular checks keep images clear and the system reliable, including cleaning lenses, testing cameras and checking power and connections. Outdoor and higher-risk systems usually need looking at more often. We'll recommend a schedule at the site survey or as part of a maintenance agreement.
With a compatible system, yes. You can view live footage on your phone or tablet, which helps if you want to check the premises outside working hours or keep an eye on more than one site.
Yes. We can assess a CCTV system that is already installed and take on its maintenance, or add monitoring to it, rather than replacing the whole thing.
It depends on the size of the system, how many cameras are involved and whether there's usable cabling in place already. We give you a timeframe with your quotation, once the site survey is done.
Yes. Alongside standard recording we can add analytics such as intrusion zone alerts, loitering detection, people and vehicle counting or number plate recognition. We'll go through which of these suit your site at the free survey.
