HOME BURGLAR ALARMS
Bespoke home intruder alarm systems, designed around your property and installed in a day.
An alarm can't stop a break-in being attempted. What it can do is make your home a less appealing target and give you early warning if someone does get in. We use equipment from established manufacturers and have no ties to any of them, so we recommend what suits your property.

A visible keypad, sensors and external sounder box show that your home is protected, which is often enough to put off an opportunist.

Arm and disarm your system, and get a notification if it's triggered, from wherever you are in the world.

Our surveyors are based across London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex, so your free survey is carried out by someone who knows the area.
THE SPY ALARMS DIFFERENCE
We don't offer a one-size-fits-all package. We survey your property free of charge and design a system around your needs and budget, whether you're securing a home for the first time, replacing an unreliable system or adding app control to an existing setup. See how it works below:
Our intruder alarms can also be integrated with fire protection, carbon monoxide detection, door entry control and home CCTV cameras, giving you one fully integrated home security system. The same system can reach your driveway with the Car Defender, which uses shock and tilt sensors to set off your house alarm if someone tampers with your vehicle.

NEW TECHNOLOGY
With our Smart app you get complete control of your fully integrated security system, wherever you are. Once it's installed you'll be able to:
App control isn't included on every system, so mention it when you book your survey. Or call and speak to our team today to talk it through.
WHEN THE ALARM GOES OFF
An alarm that only makes a noise relies on you, or a neighbour, to do something about it. There are three levels of response to choose from, and your surveyor will talk through which one fits your home at the free site visit.
Alerts go straight to your phone and you can check your cameras from wherever you are. You decide what happens next, which works well if you are usually close to home or have neighbours who can help.
Your alarm is connected to an alarm receiving centre staffed day and night. Trained operators check the activation, contact the keyholders you have nominated, and can call the police where your system is set up with a unique reference number.
If you would rather someone came out, tap Send Guard in the Spy app and a local SIA accredited security officer is sent to your property, aiming to arrive within 30 minutes. They check your entry points and send you a full report with photos, and can contact your keyholders or the emergency services if they need to. Guards do not enter your property unless you have authorised it in advance. Two callouts a year come as standard, and it works alongside professional monitoring rather than replacing it.
BURGLAR ALARM TYPES
Most domestic installations we carry out now are wireless. A wireless burglar alarm connects to your home wi-fi, avoids running cable through your walls, and can usually be fitted in a single day, so we're in and out without the mess.
Wired systems are less common for a domestic job today, but still suit some properties, particularly where cabling is already in place. Either type can integrate with home fire protection, CCTV, door entry control and smart home systems, controlled from a phone or tablet at home or abroad.
Which suits your home depends on the property, and that's what your surveyor will talk through at the free site visit. We have engineers across Kent, London, Surrey and Sussex, including Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells and Dartford. FREE HOME SURVEYS
We won't quote you without seeing your property first. We send out an experienced surveyor to assess your home and your security requirements, free of charge and with no obligation, which is what lets us design a burglar alarm system that is bespoke to you rather than a package off a shelf.
For over 40 years we've been protecting homes across London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex. Every installation is certified to NSI Gold, the highest grade the National Security Inspectorate awards and one recognised by police, fire services and insurers. We also hold BAFE accreditation for fire safety work.
We also look after the system once it is in. That covers servicing, SMS alerts and 24/7 alarm monitoring, and Guard Response if you want an SIA accredited officer to attend rather than dealing with an activation yourself. If you already have a system, our home alarm upgrades cover app control, newer panels, smart smoke detectors and the Car Defender for your vehicle.

Chat to us about a system that matches your risk level, property size and lifestyle, and we'll recommend what suits your needs and budget. We start with a free survey by an experienced surveyor, which is what lets us design a system that is bespoke to you.
It depends on your property and the system you choose, so we don't quote a fixed price upfront. A surveyor will look at your home, talk through what you need, and give you a detailed, no-obligation quote after the free site survey.
Most domestic installations are finished within a single day. A typical three-bedroom home takes around four to six hours, while larger properties, or systems needing extensive cabling, can take a full working day or longer.
Wireless is the more common choice for domestic properties now, as it's quicker to fit and doesn't need cabling running through your home. Wired systems still suit some properties, particularly where cabling already exists. Your surveyor will advise based on your property.
In most cases, yes. App control lets you arm and disarm your system remotely and get notified if it's triggered. Let your surveyor know it matters to you so it's included in your recommendation.
As standard, your alarm sounds and, if you have app control, notifies you directly. For police response the system needs to be linked to an approved monitoring centre. On a confirmed activation the centre contacts your keyholders and the police using your unique reference number. Police response is an optional upgrade, so ask your surveyor about it. If you would rather have someone attend in person, Guard Response sends an SIA accredited security officer instead, and the two can be used together.
Yes, with Guard Response. When your alarm triggers you tap Send Guard in the Spy app and a local SIA accredited security officer is sent out, aiming to arrive within 30 minutes. They check the entry points, send you a report with photos, and can contact your keyholders or the emergency services. Guards do not enter your property unless you have authorised it in advance, and two callouts a year are included as standard. Most existing customers can add it without new hardware, though some panels need an upgrade first. You can compare it against the other monitoring options here.
It can, with the Car Defender. It is a small detector that sits in your vehicle and uses shock and tilt sensors, so if someone tries to take the car, including a keyless theft, it sets off your house alarm. It works within your control panel's home range, so it is for vehicles parked at the property. Ask your surveyor whether your panel supports it.
We'd recommend at least one professional service a year to keep sensors, batteries and signalling working properly. If your system is linked to a monitoring centre, twice-yearly servicing is worth considering to help reduce false alerts.
Our office team provides ongoing support and can arrange servicing to keep your system running reliably, plus SMS alerts, home security monitoring and Guard Response if you want them. On installation day your engineer will also show you how to use the system, including the app.
