Securing construction sites is one of the main challenges for most house builders, Swan New Homes has chosen Clarke Construction Security (CCSec) to provide comprehensive technology based site security throughout the building of its new Oldchurch Park development in Romford, Essex.

Oldchuch Park in Romford, Essex consists of 376 apartments and houses with a mixed tenure of private, rented and shared ownership. It is anticipated to be a three year project with the first construction phase already underway.

The construction site entrance has been secured by a turnstile that incorporates a biometric finger reader, with CCSecs alarms and CCTV monitoring equipment covering all other areas of the site. As the first phase consists of timber frame flats, CCSecs fire evacuation system is a particularly important component during the construction stage whilst the structure is exposed; in ensuring the site is kept secure and safe. Should any of the alarms be activated, CCSecs 24-hour monitoring station will be alerted and the appropriate action can be taken.

Swan New Homes will also be installing CCSecs time lapse video camera this will allow them to view video footage recorded over a long period of time in a matter of seconds giving the impression of a continuous sequence of events and an interesting view of how building work has progressed from start to the end result.
