It’s all too familiar, the police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted burglary. There was one reported recently in Swindon, Wiltshire Police are on the case. Two males broke into a Halfords late on a Saturday night. They tried to steal several valuable items from the shop but left empty handed. That’s great, but – how come?

Because the place was alarmed. The burglar alarm went off, the police were alerted and arrived at the crime scene. The booty was left outside the building as the suspects fled.
