It's fascinating to see the development of home security and how an Englishman's home became his castle and then his technological fortress in an attempt to protect his property from potential incursions by intruders and burglars. In place of armed guards, moats and fences, we now have motion detectors, video surveillance equipment, fingerprint and voice recognition software and heat sensors.
