According to Kent News, another suspicious package was found in Canterbury on Wednesday 14 September and Kent Police are, again, examining CCTV footage from local premises in the Broad Street area, as well as carrying out house to house enquiries.
As with the two which caused massive disruption in Canterbury at the end of August, this turned out to be an elaborate hoax.
In the earlier event, one parcel was found near the railway line close to Old Dover Road and the other was discovered after a fire in a baby changing facility at Marks and Spencer and police have issued a CCTV image of a man they wished to question. Check the released CCTV images.
However, DI Michelle Whitehead, the senior investigating officer for this incident, has, so far, found no evidence to link this parcel to those on the 26 August.
